ID-10041177 Tip #4: Make Sure to Back Up Data on your Computer Regularly! The Break Down This may seem like another obvious tip but a majority of computer users do not back up their data regularly. If data is not backed up it can be lost instantly, whether it be a fire, flood, your computer is stolen, or it just simply breaks down. People often lose their data because they choose not to. According to Backblaze.com, “56 percent of our customers said they started backing up as a result of themselves or a friend losing data.” Don’t be this person! It’s not worth it to start backing up once you’ve already lost all of your data; it’s best to make the first move. This graph by backblaze.com represents thousands of users being asked, “How often do you back up your computer?” and the results are shocking. A majority of people would rather lose all their data than back it up.

The Solution? It’s simple. Back up your data! Whether it be on an external hard drive or a cloud storage provider (computers now will often times come with 10GB or so of free storage for basic backing up) it is extremely important to keep your data secure.
